I’ve adored romance every since my mom gave me a Harlequin Presents when I was fourteen. I love that, no matter what the odds or the cost, the hero and heroine will always find their happily ever after.
Love and Laugh on Long Island
When I started writing contemporary romance, it didn’t take long for me to decide where my stories would take place. I wanted to show the diversity of Long Island. From the vegetable farms of Suffolk to the Gold Coast of Nassau, there is something so romantic about taking a walk on the beach or strolling through a winery. Hop in a car or the train and soon you’ll see the magnificent skyline of New York City.
Catch the Romance of the City
I’ve always been fascinated with ghosts, so it was inevitable that I’d write about them. I needed a place that was rife with history and romance. What better place than Brooklyn Heights, right at the foot of the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The nineteenth century row houses are the perfect place to find a ghost hiding in the attic.
From the Empire State Building to the towering lighthouse at Montauk Point, there is no place I’d rather be than my little corner of southeastern, New York. And what a great place to laugh and find love.
